| For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? St Matthew16: 26 WHO CAN WE TRUST? We live in a strange time when it is difficult to separate truth from fiction. With all the ruses and misinformation in our daily life, the general public is left with feeling of mistrust and skepticism about what to believe and who to believe. Just observe the polls about who the public now trusts the least. In a CNN/USA TODAY/ GALLUP Poll dated Nov14-16, 2003, when asked to rate the honesty and ethical standards of various people, percentage of those polled gave the most ‘very high/high ‘ votes to nurses at 83%. The Clergy were only at 56 %, State governors at 26%, journalists at 25%, Senators at 20%, business executives at 18 % and Congressmen at17 %. Car salesmen were the lowest at 7%. Clearly there is a problem of trust developing. In another poll conducted by ABC NEWS PRIME TIME dated February 6-10, 2004, 60 % of those polled believed that ‘The creation story in which the world was created in six days ‘ was literally true. Clearly we have credibility gap in what is being taught by some of our religious institutions. Teachings of long ago that were meant to be interpreted symbolically or allegorically are being taken literally. HAS THE SOUL BEEN OVERLOOKED AS OUR TRUE INNER GUIDE? What most of us have overlooked is that we do have a source of guidance and truth that has always been there and whose source has been either suppressed or forgotten. We are more than our outer personality, ego or the physical body. The Holy books have constantly reminded us to seek the kingdom of God within first. Yet what does this mean? Have we really a Divine spark of God within each of us, which is the true source of unique guidance and information for each of us? SOUL STUFF T he dictionary defines a soul as the animating or the divine principle of life, the moral and spiritual side of man related to God. These are profound words and I wonder how many of us really know what these words mean. What is a soul really and where did it come from? Do we all have souls? Can I communicate with my soul? How do I go about it? THE NATURE OF MAN We are all threefold in nature. 1] Pure Spirit or Monad, which reflects three aspects of the Creator, namely Will ,Love-Wisdom and Active Intelligence. 2] The Higher Self or Ego which reflects Spiritual Will, Intuition and Higher Mind [or Abstract Mind]. 3] The Personality or lower self which includes the lower mental, emotional, etheric and physical bodies. A SOUL DEFINED The Soul essence is one of intelligent energy that periodically projects part of its being into physical form in order to learn. It is an entity, which is brought into being when spirit and matter relate. It is the middle principal between Spirit and Form or the Monad and the Personality. It is a form builder and maintainer. It is the intelligence with a mind and mental awareness related to the manas or mind aspect of the Higher Self. It has sometime been referred to as the ‘Thinker’ since the consciousness of Higher Self is currently focused primarily on the Mental Plane. Soul is consciousness and awareness of God, of its own Soul group and of self simultaneously. It is the accumulated positive experience and Akasic record of all of the Soul extensions into various realities. As Ann Ree Colton said it so well " The soul is the record –bearer of former lives”. Without Soul energy, life forms could not exist on our planet. They would be inanimate objects. All of God’s creatures have Souls whether it is individual or a group Soul. Each person’s Soul is equally pure at the time of the Soul’s original birth. Where we differ is in our Soul’s original intention or definition and our subsequent Soul history or different number of incarnations. As the Monad or Spirit overdwells the Soul or ‘Soul medallion’ as Ann Ree Colton calls it, so the Soul over dwells the physical man. The Soul’s medallion is directly above the head of man and it is a pulsating vortex of energy or special light. It is here that man receives his Soul impulses and creative mental impulses. These impulses become more pronounced at the age of 28-35. Some synonyms for the word ‘Soul’ are Son, Ego, Higher Self, The Thinker, Individuality and the Triad HOW ARE SOULS IN THE LIKENESS OF GOD? Souls are made of energy that comes from its individualized connection to God, namely the Monad or Spirit. Hence Souls are made of the same energy stuff or likeness as God, Holy Spirit or Christ. Our current Soul’s energy is at a much lower frequency and intensity. We are our Soul energy projected unto the earth plane. The Soul in turn is an extension of the Monad Spirit, the individualized God Spark. TYPES OF SOULS There are several types of Souls present here on earth. Celestial Souls These are Souls that are not associated or formed from the cosmic energies around of any particular planet or Galaxy. They are celestial in purpose and origin providing divine assistance and service to many worlds. Angels are typical celestial souls. Galactic Souls These are Souls birthed at the various planets and stars in the various galaxies. They did not originate from earth. Originally there was one Soul created for every star. This changed when it became necessary to provide additional Souls for life forms that were able to pro-create on earth. All of man’s original 11 million ancestors Souls were galactic Souls from other planets in our solar system, other planets in our galaxy and other galaxies. Earth Souls Souls birthed specifically for planet earth and from the cosmic energies around earth. They were created later after about 7 million years ago when the need for additional earth souls was necessary. Most Souls on earth today are earth Souls. Group Souls Souls whose energies inhabit different animal species and other life forms like birds, reptiles, etc. Animals do not have individual Souls like humans do. Animals have a group Soul for each different species WHERE DID THE ORIGINAL EARTH SOULS COME FROM? All of the first ancestor Souls came from planets and star systems outside our solar system with few exceptions. A small number came from Venus and Saturn in our own solar system. Most of the first human Souls came from Pleiades, Sirius, and Orion. A smaller number came from other parts of our Milky Way Galaxy [like Arcturus and Ophiuchus] and some even from other Galaxies [like the Andromeda Galaxy]. There were about 11 million volunteer Souls who came here about 8 million years ago. Now there are trillions of Souls throughout the cosmos. WHERE ARE THESE ANCIENT SOULS TODAY? ARE THEY STILL HERE? After the fateful ‘separation’ from God ‘s energy source precipitated by the Rebel Ray about 7.2 million years ago, there was the ‘fall’ or significant reduction in the Soul's energy beam or etheric body. A physical body was created as a rescue vessel or temporary container for the etheric Soul. Reincarnation was introduced to help the Souls to recover and complete their original soul contract, which was to be the stewards and care takers of this planet. Some Souls were able to resist the original negative influence of the Rebel Ray and went on to complete their contract. They have moved on to higher dimension. Most of those who experienced the separation and the fall have gradually ascended, completed their original contract and have moved on to higher dimensions. Some of these old Souls have volunteered to come back and help this planet and the younger earth souls during this critical stage of change. WAS THIS THE ONLY SEPARATION AND FALL OF SOULS? A Soul can decide to turn away or ‘separate’ from the God Force and suffer the consequences or fall. This results in the reduction of their Soul energies. A Soul can destroy itself and diminish its energies to such a degree that it ceases to be a being of light and joins the Dark forces or becomes part of the cosmic energy to be again reactivated in another time and another place. The earth personality can also diminish the Soul energy by turning away from the Souls intent totally and pursuing negative energies. Ages ago, various higher dimensional beings rebelled against the Light and were banished to lower dimensional planes [astral] where they are still kept to this day, guarded by the Light. The separation and fall that happened 7.2 million years ago was caused by the Rebel Ray and was not caused by the Souls desire to experience the material plane or so called ‘sin’. There is no such thing as a sin. There is only the missing of goals that the Soul sets. DO SOULS DIE? A Soul is relatively immortal in relation to the personality. When all individual Souls have evolved into higher dimensions where reincarnation is no longer needed, the Causal body is finally left behind and the essence of what the Soul has learned becomes part of the Spirit or Monad. This is what happens when one has completed the fourth great initiation or the Crucifixion. This process however takes millions of years and that is why it is often stated that the Soul is immortal. Relative to the personality, it is immortal. HOW ARE SOULS CREATED? The Holy Spirit or Silver Ray creates all Monads and their Souls. Silver Ray is the Life Giving and Nurturing aspect of God and is one of the two firsts born of the Creator. The other first born of the Parent of All is the Christ Spirit or Golden Ray whose focus is more on universal laws, teaching, wisdom, divine will and holding the created worlds in harmony. A Soul is the extension of the Monad Spirit to lower planes. The Soul is cosmic energy that has been given the spark or element of relative permanence. This means that atomic particles of cosmic energy are fused, condensed and amplified or raised to ultrasonic high frequencies within Silver Ray. Souls have what is called an Eternal Sustaining Atom by which they move from one eternity system to another. IS THE HISTORY OF THE SOUL SAME AS THE HISTORY OF THE BODY? In order to study the true history of mankind, one needs to study the history of the Souls of men and also study the history of the creation and development of the various physical bodies of men. They are two quite different stories but inter-related. The creation of the physical body would have never taken place had the separation and fall of the original caretaker Souls not taken place. Originally the etheric Souls were meant to be the caretakers of the planet. WHY DID THE ORIGINAL SOULS COME HERE? When planet Earth was ready for the seeding of new life forms, there was a divine call for volunteer Souls throughout the cosmos, Souls with prior scientific and botanical experiences were asked to come to earth and help develop and steward the various new life forms from all over the cosmos. HOW DID SOULS ORIGINALLY MAKE THINGS HAPPEN IF THEY HAD NO PHYSICAL BODY? Even though the original Souls were beams of cosmic energy, they had keen mental faculties and were able to move things by thought alone. They dwelled not on the planet but in space around the planet IS THE HIGHER SELF SAME AS THE SOUL? Yes, the Soul is part of your Higher Self. Currently the Soul is part of one’s Higher Triad or threefold spirit called Atma-Buddhi-Manas where the soul is the Manas or Thinker. In some literature, the Soul together, with all higher aspects or higher bodies including the Buddhic body and Atmic body are combined and called the Higher Self or Spirit for simplification. These three are the vehicles for the Monad or Individualized Spirit on the lower planes of existence. Refer to the exhibit below and also to the bottom of the article for clarification of terms. About 7.2 million years ago when the etheric life on this planet was interfered with by the Rebel Ray, Souls turned away from the Creator’s energy and lost some of their spiritual essence and light and their Soul shrunk in size. Rebel Ray used mental arguments and enticements followed by sound technologies to bring about this disruption. This is what was called the ’ fall ‘ which occurred after the ‘separation’ or turning away from God. WHAT IS THE SOUL’S RAY OF INTENTION OR PURPOSE? For each lifetime, the Soul brings with it certain unique energies or special Soul print, which it uses to accomplish its goal. This is called the ray of intention. The primary ray indicates the main purpose or intention and the supplementary rays help to round out the energies needed. For example some one with a blue main ray of intention will demonstrate mental abilities, scientific or technological skills in their life and will posses great problem solving skills. The red energy if present as a supplemental ray will give him the energy to see his or her projects through to completion. HOW DOES A SOUL CHOOSE ITS NEXT LIFE OR INCARNATION? Each lifetime and past record of the Soul is reviewed ahead of time by the Soul with its guides and teachers. The Soul selects the goals to be accomplished and the challenges to be faced. The Soul selects the parents and general circumstances of life. HOW MANY TIMES DOES A SOUL INCARNATE? It really depends on the individual Soul. Some Souls select lifetimes on other star systems and other galaxies as well. Others misuse their opportunities when they have them and thus requiring more life times to correct their bad deeds and accomplish self mastery. Most earth Souls will have about 150 -300 incarnations or soul extensions into the physical realm. Some have even suggested 700 to 800 incarnations and even several thousand but this may not be the norm for most Souls. Old Souls or very advanced volunteer Souls will have more than the normal incarnations. These incarnations may come in cycles. At the end of each incarnation cycle, the experiences and traits learned must be integrated by the Soul. This is usually accomplished at the end of the final incarnation or soul extension cycle. The final incarnation ascends and acts as the integrator and spokes personality for the other previous personalities. The true Soul home is on the higher mental planes of the 5th dimension. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION THAT IS GAINED BY THE PERSONALITY WHEN A PERSON DIES. DOES THE SOUL RETAIN ANYTHING OF THE PERSONALITY? When a person dies, its lesser etheric body or energy body also dies. However the higher etheric body with which one travels in dreams and which one inhabits between physical lives, continues to live. Upon death of the lower etheric body, it imprints upon the immortal or permanent seed atoms of the higher etheric body, the complete history of the mental, emotional and physical actions of the personality during the past life. These actions determine the shape, size, appearance of the physical body and the emotional and mental nature of the future life yet to be .One can, with affirmations and mental suggestions just prior to sleep, recall other lives of the soul. We often recall actions from prior lives of the Soul but fail to recognize these as such and write them off as nonsense. Pity, for valuable lessons and data can be obtained through such dream recalls. The higher etheric body of the personality becomes part of the Soul but the essence of the personality is retained. DOES THE SOUL COMPLETELY PROJECT ALL OF ITS ESSENCE TO THE PHYSICAL PLANE For each incarnation the Soul only projects certain parts or aspects of its energy by projecting certain etherically encased atoms into the lower etheric body of the baby in the mothers womb. These atoms contain the blueprint of the lower etheric or energy bodies and contains the records of the souls past incarnations. The Sacred Atom of the Heart is the center of this new life. There are 12 physical atoms, 12 emotional atoms and 12 mental atoms. Not all of these atoms are yet activated in the average individual. Typically only three mental body atoms, five emotional body atoms and nine phsical body atoms are activated for most people. Upon death, the lower etheric body imprints upon the immortal atom of the higher etheric body the entire experiences of the life just lived. Ultimately they are integrated with all other incarnations and joined with the Soul on the 5th dimension. WHAT IS SOUL BODY? Our Soul body is called the causal body and its home is on the first, second and third sub levels of the higher mental plane or the 5th dimension, which is above the 4th or astral dimension. It is the record bearer of all of our past records of grace, positive actions and higher qualities. The Soul body is not really a body as we think of on our physical plane. It is more a center of egoic consciousness. It is also a collection [3] of permanent atoms enclosed by mental essence. It is like a sheath of the Ego or Higher Self. It has been called the Causal body because in it are gathered the results of past experiences which then mold or act as causes of future lives and experiences. There are some teachers who write about various components of the Soul namely Intellectual Soul, Emotional Soul and Conscious Soul. Others have used the terms Under Soul, Upa-Soul, Soul’s Record and Most High Soul. Space in this article does not permit us to explore these other aspects of one’s Soul. These writers are talking about a three fold Soul. Generally if the word soul is spelt with a capital ‘S’, the writer is referring to the spiritual or immortal Soul. When spelt with a small ’s’. The writer may be referring to the mortal man, psyche, and mental and emotional side of man. CAN YOU SIMPLIFY ALL THIS? All this sounds kind of complicated with all these bodies, planes and dimensions. In summary here is what happens. The Holy Spirit creates the God Spark called the Monad or Spirit and the Soul. The Monad expresses itself on three lower spiritual planes as three fold Spirit called the Ego or Higher Self. The Soul is the mental aspect of this Ego. The Soul in turn expresses itself on yet three lower planes as the personality [us]. This is how the Spirit enters from the high spirit dimensions to our lower physical dimensions to learn and gain experience. It takes on sheaths or coverings much like a deep-sea diver does when it enters ever-deeper water. Upon completion of the learning process, the cycle reverses and different lower bodies or sheaths are released. The experiences and the learning however are retained. Since the earthly personality is part of this wonderful and individualized aspect of God, namely the Monad, our job is to learn to communicate with our Soul, which is our personalized link to God, the Monad. It should be pointed out that prior to the separation and fall of the souls about 7.2 million years ago, the process of reincarnation to the physical plane did not take place as the soul remained and learned on higher planes. WHY SHOULD WE CONTACT OUR SOUL? An individual who does not follow the unique and personal inner prompting of their Soul is like student who may be in the wrong class or skips the lessons that are uniquely his to learn. To negate the Soul plan for an incarnation may waste an entire lifetime, thus requiring another lifetime to correct. . HOW CAN I CONTACT MY SOUL? Listening to the quiet prompting of the Soul can take place through various means. Regular moments of quiet meditation, quiet focus through music, yoga, a walk in the forest or seaside, dreams or moments of sheer inspiration are just a few. However, maintaining a regular period of quiet meditation of 20-30 minutes every day works best for most. This should be complemented by group meditation weekly. If your church does not yet practice regular quiet meditation as part of its regular church service, ask why not. Prayers and typical current church services alone may not be enough. Meditation is listening to the inner voice of your Soul or your God source within you. For some, the use of a pendulum to make first contact with your subconscious and then to your Soul or higher self may work also. Dreams are also a useful means to observe past Soul activity and receive divine guidance. Make a nightly affirmation before sleep and say, ‘ I WILL CONNECT WITH MY SOUL’. Inner realty can speak to us in many ways. Each person needs to find out what works best for him or her individually. Soul prompting becomes more pronounced at an age of about 28- 35 years, when family and career patterns are more stable and set. An inner unrest, urging and desire to seek something new or more meaningful is often the sign of this stage. Your Soul is urging you to again seek a link with it and perhaps change the pattern and direction of your life. People often make dramatic changes in their life at this time. In your prayers ask for guidance for Soul contact techniques that would best work for you. The spirits of Light cannot interfere in your life unless you ask for help. IS SOUL CONTACTING SAME AS SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS? Soul awareness begins initially with only ever so brief moments of Soul contact. However as the soul matures, it is constantly striving to contact the personality and attempting to resolve past life uncompleted lessons with those new lessons being undertaken in this life. These initial moments of contact can be in dream states or in quiet meditation. It may only be ‘one way ‘ communication initially. To be fully Soul conscious is to be one with your Soul and fully aware of all that the Soul has experienced and senses. It means being in constant contact with the 5th dimension. This can be the ultimate goal and prize that awaits those who persevere. IS MEDITATION THE ONLY REQUIREMENT FOR SOUL CONTACT? Meditation is listening to your own God source for guidance that is uniquely yours. This process is not instantaneous and may take some time [up to a year and more for some. However as you begin to make contact, you will be guided to clear and transform your negative ego traits to positive Soul qualities. You may have to seek help to do this properly. There are many books, courses and various groups who can help in this process. Pray for guidance. Other things we need to work on also are; 1] Getting control of our physical body and its appetites in terms of food and drinks. Focusing on the health of our body. 2] Getting control of our emotions, desires, illusions and false glamour pursuits 3] Developing and expanding our mind. 4] Expanding our spiritual understanding. No single religious institution, author or system of beliefs has a monopoly on truths. These steps are essential in order to be able to receive clear inner guidance. WHAT ARE NEGATIVE EGO TRAITS AND POSITIVE SOUL QUALITIES? NEGATIVE EGO TRAITS Fear, worry, anger, jealousy, destructive criticism, condemnation, gossip, duality, false pride, desire, slander, vanity, hatred, envy, deceit, hypocrisy, self condemnation, egotism, prejudice, selfishness, and greed. [Plus others] POSITIVE SOUL QUALITIES Faith, hope, charity, aspiration, patience, sympathy, compassion, self love, humility, noninterference, kindness, unity, discipline, balance, personal power, courage, forgiveness, duty, love. [Plus others] IS YOUR SOUL AN INFANT OR OLD SOUL OR SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN? Once you become spiritually inclined and seek a link with your inner self, curiosity about one’s soul experience and history takes on a new interest. Am I a new Soul or an older Soul on this planet people often asks? Without having achieved soul communications yet, are there traits that would point the way? Michael Teachings [see reference at the end of this article] offer the following general guidelines given below in summary only There are seven further sublevels at each age group. INFANT SOUL is survival oriented, primitive, fearful, unsure of right and wrong, little ethics and morality, intuitive, earthly and simple BABY SOUL seeks structure, rules, order, law, traditions, rituals, discipline, familiarity, likes to follow. YOUNG SOUL is driven by career goals, success, fame, glory, power, material wealth, independence, ambition, and acclaim. MATURE SOUL is interested in inner emotions, relationships, arts, creativity, intense feelings, and inner explorations. OLD SOUL seek more worldly interests, sees interrelatedness in all, teaches, is calm, self centered, unemotional, multi talented [when needed], explores and feels comfortable with many religions, seeks peace and promotes the environment. TRANSCEDENTAL SOUL is a soul who has previously completed the school of earthly life and has volunteered to come back to help and teach. The soul is more worldly, galactic and cosmic oriented, shows deep planetary and environmental concern sees unity in all things and has a link with higher energies. Is deeply compassionate INFINITE SOUL is a manifestation of part of the highest levels of the God Force, like the Spirit of Christ in Jesus or Budda. About 95 % of all the Souls on earth are earth Souls. An approximate breakdown of the general population is as follows: Infant Souls 10%, Baby Souls 23%, Young Souls 32%, Mature Souls 26% and Old Souls 11%. Only about 10% of the old Souls are in their final incarnation stage [seventh] prior to ascension. WE ALL HAVE A DIVINE LIGHT WITHIN US We should seek the kingdom of our Soul within us first. It is our personal contact to the God source. We require no guru, church or middleman to contact the God source within. The Church and others can offer us guidance on how to go about it especially if they themselves are so enlightened however; we must find that Divine spark within us ultimately. The true purpose of any religious group is to guide their followers to discover their own God source within, the Soul. The Soul reveres the God Force in all things, respects all life and strives for planetary care. This will be the guidance for all of us in the future. WHY IS THIS INDIVIDUAL SOUL CONTACT SO IMPORTANT NOW? Our Soul growth requires us to attune daily to the inner Self, our Soul, and discover our own personal guidance which is ours alone to follow. There is so much information and misinformation from various sources that we must be inwardly advised what plan or path is right for us alone. No universal plan or path exists for all. We must tune into our own God presence within. Future world events may be confusing, unexpected and rapid and without a daily inner guidance we will not be prepared to handle these sudden world or local events. Volumes of books have been written on this subject of Soul contact and Soul search. This article is only a very brief and simplified introduction written to twig the interest of new Soul searchers who are seeking something more meaningful in their life. The attached reference material from which many of the above concepts came from would be a very helpful starting point for any personal study. The writer can verify many of the concepts from his own Soul history. WHERE IS THIS SOUL CONTACT LEADING ME It is the destiny of each of us and humanity as whole to return to spirit. This process was exemplified by the life of Christ while he was on earth. Soul communications is the start of this process. As we persevere in our spiritual quest we will experience in a symbolic way the life of Christ through our own spiritual initiations. The first three of these initiations are as follows; The Birth of Christ --- birth of the newly recognized Christ spirit or ‘child ‘within the cave of our heart. Control of our physical body and its appetites. The heart center is activated. Baptism--- Purification and control of our emotional nature and astral glamour and illusions, rejection of evil, beginning of our own ministry and service. The throat center is activated. Transfiguration---the soul finally becomes the ruler of the soul-illumed mind and the personality. The lower ego meets the Monad and is transfigured. Also the inner Christ meets the Father. The head center is activated. When all of humanity have passed these phases, then soul consciousness on a world scale will have been achieved. The writer predicts that the great religion of the future will be the religion of the soul, the kingdom of the soul and the universal search for our Inner Teacher. There are nine great initiations. The reader is invited to explore these further. Space does not allow expanding on all of these here DO OTHER NON-CHRISTIAN FAITHS AND ANCIENT SOURCES TEACH ABOUT THE SPIRIT/SOUL/PERSONALITY LINK? The Christian version of the story of the descent of Spirit into matter and back to Spirit again is as old as Creation itself. The Bible version is only the latest variation of this story. The writer suggests the following sources as illustrations of similar stories. The Labors of Hercules Bhagavad Gita and the story of Krishna in Hindu Vedas Prometheus of Greece The story of Horus/Osiris/Serapis of Egypt Buddha of India Mithra of Persia Thor of Gauls Zarathustra/Zoroaster of Persia And there are many more. Like the Bible, most of these stories are written in a veiled or allegorical mode. There are many levels of understanding to these stories. Some say that there are at least seven levels of veiled meanings. The deeper truths and meanings can only be gleamed by discipline and effort on the part of the reader. To place emphasis on or to only read literally these ancient myths, including today’s Bible is to miss their deeper spiritual truths. Great Teachers have come in every age to offer guidance to mankind and the journey of uniting with one’s soul is very ancient. And so it is written. The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. [1 Corinthians 15:45] CLARIFICATION OF COMMONLY USED TERMS. MONAD The Monad has also been called the Spirit, God Spark, Eternal Self, The Silent Spectator, Virgin Spirit, and the Heavenly Father. ATMA Atma has also been called by some the Divine Spirit or the Higher Spirit Self. This is the highest level of human achievement prior to returning to pure Spirit. Also it may be called the Supreme Soul BUDDHI The Holy Christ Self, which also has been called the Life Spirit and the Spiritual Divine Ego is the Buddhic body. It has also been called the Spiritual Soul since the highest mind and spirit are first combined here. It ahs been called as well the Universal Soul HIGHER SELF The Higher Triad consisting of the Atmaic, Buddhic, Manas [Soul] Bodies has been correctly called the Higher Self, King, the Spiritual Triad, the Divine Son, the Pilgrim and the Heavenly Man. SOUL The Soul has been called the Ego [spelled with a capital E] or Higher Ego or Inner Ego. Others use the word, Manas, Thinker or Centered Self. Some have used the term Higher Self to refer to the Soul in relation to the personality. [I.e. something higher than the personality.] The soul’s medallion is another aspect of the soul. Also the Causal Body has been referred to as the Soul Body. HIGHER ETHERIC BODY [ETERNAL] The first body manifested or created for man. It is made of spiritual light. Vehicle used to travel in higher dimensions. Has 12 permanent atoms including the Eternal Sustaining Atom used to travel from one eternity system to another. Has a higher mental and emotional component. Located above and outside the aura of a person. This is what Theosophy calls the triple spirit body(s) of the Higher Self, namely causal, buddhic and atmic. Currently the Causal body is the Higher Etheric Body. LOWER ETHERIC BODY [PERISHES AT DEATH] A double for the physical body immediately outside the skin and extending about 2-3 inches out. Made of ether and prana. Supported by the sun. Supports and vitalizes the physical body by energizing the blood stream. ASTRAL BODY [MORTAL] Our desire or emotional body. It is the body that we use in the next dimension before integration with the soul at the mental plane. PERSONALITY [MORTAL] The lower self or physical man consisting of a lower mental body or mind, an emotional body, an etheric body and physical body. The lower personality has been called man, the lower self, the incarnate, lower ego, the shim, Adam and the physical man.
