| Meeting My Spirit Guide |

| I have always felt like an intuitive, but would not exactly call myself “psychic”. In 1996, I took a “Psychic Development” class at a local high school in the evenings. At the end of the 10-week class, the teacher told us that she was going to do a guided meditation so that we could meet our spirit guides. The lights were dimmed, meditative music was put on, and we all followed the teacher in the meditation. She told us that we should close our eyes, and imagine a very bright star in the sky. She described the light as slowly moving closer to earth, until it finally was on the horizon. As we focused on the light, it started to come nearer and nearer to us until it was in front of us. Now she said to see “who” the light was. Immediately, I saw a holy card image of Christ. My mind thought this was just a throw back to my Catholic school days and dismissed this image as not being valid. I next saw a large male angel, which was blue. He had shoulder length hair and was very handsome and fit. The teacher directed us to ask our guide what their name was and I did. The angel responded, “Igo”. Next, the teacher asked us to look in our guide’s hands for a gift they had for us. I looked into my angel’s hands and there was a white dove. I took this as a sign of peace and not to let my fears (from my Catholic upbringing) of being possessed by the devil, get the best of me. (Which was my number one worry of channeling!) At this point in the meditation, the images started to wane and I asked for help in keeping the connection. That’s when it happened. All of a sudden, something entered my body from behind. It was such an incredible feeling of unconditional love that tears immediately started to flow down my face. All I could do was say over and over again, “Thank you. Thank you”, for this incredible experience. My shoulders and arms started to get very warm and shake, but it did not hurt. The love I was experiencing was so overpowering that nothing could detract from it. Finally, it stopped and I was overwhelmed with joy. After the meditation, the teacher went around the class and asked each of us about our meeting with our guides. When I relayed my experience, my teacher commented that I probably could be a “trance channel”. Two years ago, a friend of mine had a psychic over at her home who was giving readings. This woman claimed to be able to connect you with your guardian angel. I sat down for a reading with her and she started to comment on my early life. I was curious about guardian angels, so I mentioned to her that I once saw a blue angel. She told me that probably it was really CHRIST, but that I felt too undeserving of him as a guide and dismissed it. Later in the reading, she told me that my angel had joined us and this angel wanted me to get a WHITE DOVE. Needless to say, this reading really validated my meeting with my spirit guide! |
