| In the operations of life, the organization of life, and the opulence of life, one finds that it is easy to become lost in the receiving end of emptiness. You are told that life holds the mysteries of the ages, that magic is afoot, and that joy is endless. Yet you find difficulty in obtaining the knowledge and energy to find this magic and joy. The area that you look in may be the problem, as you constantly look outward and aimlessly for evidence that there is more to life than sheer existence. Then there are those who seek the thrill of finding something sensational to experience all of the time, You catch a glimmer of hope that your boredom will be extinguished, but then find yourself in an endless search of experience. The experience that you are all searching for is the experience of being one with creation, one with the heartbeat of God--finding this marrow margin of experience that many believe is reserved for the righteous. But, what is righteousness, and what do we have to do to obtain the essence of Spirit? The art is not in the doing, but in the transformation of belief. you must transform the belief that you are doing to obtain, and operating in this world to participate and receive. The rigorous action, even spiritual action, in regard to obtaining is the pitfall of Spirit. When your "eyes" are always on the "prize" you can not grasp that the prize is within you, that " YOU are the prize." Becoming the Gift involves stepping into the realm of understanding that when you walked into this experience from Spirit into physical form you received the ultimate gift. You brought all of God with you. When you are inundated with methods and means to obtain prosperity, love, and exuberant joy, you find yourself within the experience of the method and not nay of those things which you are so desperately pursuing. But the cries go high into the heavens for relief from this desperation, the desperation brought about by the pursuing. When one stops pursuing, and starts realizing that action in order to receive brings nothing, and that giving in order to receive has no reward, you are left with one answer. Giving of the self with no will, ego, or motive is the only way to become "The Gift"--the only way to become part of the essence of God, thus gently flowing into the river of life that carries you, instead of having the responsibility of carrying yourself. You become the gift of love itself when you give love freely with no expectation of return. You receive joy freely when you allow yourself to be within joy for no reason or learn to sit still and allow God to bring joy to you. You become "The Gift" when you realize that prosperity is not something that one measures in numbers, weighing the amounts needed to survive. When you release all of the material world around you and see yourself fully supported, knowing that you and the love in your heart is the only measure of wealth, you are clearly ready to receive the desires of your heart. Take heart and do not struggle in desperation for those things, or gifts of spirit, that you are waiting to experience. Begin to experience the mind of God and nature. Begin to listen to your breath, how it flows in and out, how it give you life. Begin to allow the energy of nature to beat with the rhythm of your heart. See how everything flows into your life effortlessly when you let go of the struggle to obtain. Imagine that you needed nothing to experience pure joy. Imagine that the energy of Love is waiting to transform you so that you will be a walking, talking, and breathing mechanism of the essence of spirit. Step into that now and become one with yourself. |
